The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Saturday's Best NCAAB Bet

Alabama Crimson Tide at Tennessee Volunteers (-5, N/A)

The first-place team in the SEC? Why that would be the team that’s the hottest: Alabama. The Tide had a horrific non-conference performance, including losses to Iowa, St. Peter’s and Seton Hall, but once conference play began the team has been nearly unbeatable.

Between feasting on the absurdly bad SEC West, Alabama has added wins over Kentucky and South Carolina. And don’t expect Alabama to be phased by Tennessee’s aggressive press, athleticism or the hostile environment at Rocky Top.

The Tide has already played at Purdue and Providence and are learning to overcome their biggest weaknesses – half-court defense and offense. Coach Anthony Grant says he plans to press the Vols right back and use a variety of traps to generate turnovers. On offense, he wants the team to attack the rim, force the action and take the first open shot – even if that’s early in the shot clock.

“I think they have very good personnel and a very good system,” Grant said. “We have to put our players in a position where we can do a good job on the defensive end first and then find a way to have some success offensively.”

Pick: Alabama

PICK 'N' ROLL

Saturday's Best NBA Bet

Oklahoma City Thunder at Utah Jazz (N/A)

Opponents are struggling to find a way to slow down Kevin Durant...and don’t expect the Jazz to have any answers. Durant has topped 28 points in each of the past nine meetings with Utah, including a 30-point, six-rebound and four-assist performance in a 115-108 win on Nov. 15.

"That's why he's probably MVP of the league right now. You're putting a string of games together like that, you put yourself in a different class," said New Orleans coach Monty Williams, whose Hornets saw Durant light them up for 43 points in a recent loss. "He made one shot tonight, he was standing where I was. When you're playing with that kind of confidence ... he's not just a special player, he's becoming a standard for that position."

And even if Durant has a rare off night for the Thunder, it will be up to a shaky Jazz backcourt to shut down stud combo-guard Russell Westbrook. The third-year player out of UCLA is averaging 22.4 points, 8.5 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game.

Utah guard Earl Watson – who was playing less than 16 minutes per game before an injury to starter Deron Williams – must help to slow down Westbrook if Williams can’t go. Williams, who has been out of action with a sprained wrist tendon, planned to play on Friday against the Nuggets, but his availability on a back-to-back is unknown.

Pick: Thunder

Saturday's Best NHL Bets

Toronto Maple Leafs at Buffalo Sabres (-165, 5.5)

The Toronto Maple Leafs would rather see pretty much any other team on their schedule other than the Buffalo Sabres. And who can blame them? Buffalo has won nine of the past 10 meetings, including a pair of victories this season before Christmas.

This time Buffalo also has a new weapon to throw out against Toronto. Rookie forward Paul Byron has been impressive, netting a goal and an assist in his first two games in the NHL before spending the All-Star break in the AHL to keep him in game-shape. With his recall earlier this week, coach Lindy Ruff hopes to recapture some of the magic that Byron and his linemates had in an earlier matchup with Ottawa.

Byron will center a line featuring left wing Tyler Ennis and right wing Drew Stafford. Even though the group is diminutive in size, their speed and skating make them a pesky united to handle.

"They're going to have to use their speed and creativity," Ruff said. "I don't think there's any secret they're not going to outmuscle anybody. At the same time, if you can't catch them it's going to be hard to play with them.

"That line in Ottawa gave us real good energy. It was probably our best line, and we'd like to see if they can give us some offense."

Pick: Buffalo

Los Angeles Kings at Calgary Flames (-125, 5)

No one can complain that the Flames are playing boring hockey. By playing an up-tempo, high-risk style of play, the Flames have opened themselves up to counter attacks and surrendering undisciplined goals. But so far, the results have been nothing but wins and lots of pucks in the opposition’s net.

"You look at our skating the last few games. Does anybody look like he doesn't have the juice anymore?" Winger Alex Tanguay said. "We're skating good. I'm 31 and I think I'm skating better than I have the last three or four years."

Calgary has won six straight and eight of 10 games overall. During its winning streak, the Flames are averaging 4.2 goals per game – way up from the 2.7 goals per game the team was averaging before it began to turn its season around.

"It's up to us and we haven't done it up until lately," defenseman Cory Sarich said. "I just want to continue and keep it going because it's way more enjoyable."
Meantime, the Kings have won four of five, but are a mere 5-5 in their last 10 games overall. The team continues to struggle to score goals and has netted more than two goals just four times over that span.

Pick: Flames

Bettor's Best Friend (BBF): Saturday's Wagering Tips

Line To Watch

Oklahoma City Thunder at Utah Jazz (OFF)

The Utah Jazz may be playing Saturday’s game without star point guard Deron Williams, who has been sidelined with a sprained wrist. Williams is planning to play in Friday’s game, but it is unknown if he will attempt a back-to-back. If Williams sits out, Earl Watson will have the unenviable task of trying to slow down Thunder guard Russell Westbrook, in addition to superstar Kevin Durant. Williams’ presence should greatly affect how big a favorite the Thunder will be.

Who’s Hot

NBA: The Memphis Grizzlies are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games as a road underdog. Memphis is currently a four-point underdog against the Houston Rockets.

NHL: The over is 6-0 in the Colorado Avalanche's last six games.

NCAAB: The South Carolina Gamecocks are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games at Vanderbilt.

NHL: Dallas Stars center Brad Richards has 12 points in his last 10 games.

Who’s Not

NHL: The New York Rangers are 4-5-1 in their last 10 games, scoring more than two goals in only three of those contests. The Rangers are playing in Montreal Saturday, where they are 1-5 in their last six games at the Bell Centre.

NBA: The Golden State Warriors are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games as a home underdog.

NCAAB: The Seton Hall Pirates are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a winning road record.

NBA: Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace is averaging just 7.8 points in his last four games.

Injury Not To Be Overlooked

Rick DiPietro – The New York Islanders’ oft-injured goaltender will be out for 4-6 weeks after suffering a broken orbital bone – an injury he received during a fight with Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Brent Johnson. DiPietro signed a 15-year contract five seasons ago, but has only played in 21 games this season and 34 games the last three seasons.

Key Statistic

2 – The number of goals scored by Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty in Wednesday’s game against Edmonton. The goals were both originally given to Ryan Smyth, but the league changed the credit Thursday night, giving Doughty his first multi-goal game of the season. The 21-year-old blue liner had 16 goals and 59 points this season, but the scoring change gives him just six tallies and 28 points so far in 2010-11.

Game Of The Day

Kentucky Wildcats at Florida Gators (1.5, 132)

Notable Quotable

"Those are my favorite things: to work out and eat and play hockey. I can't do any of them so it's not really the best of injuries." – New York Islanders goaltender Rick DiPietro, on the ramifications of his broken orbital bone.

Tips And Notes

-- The Ottawa Senators are expected to welcome center Jason Spezza back to the lineup Saturday against the New York Islanders. Spezza has been out since Dec. 26 with a shoulder injury. He is a point-per-game player throughout his career, but has just 20 points in 32 games this season. Even still, those numbers make him the most productive player on the roster and he should give Ottawa’s offense a jolt.

-- The Southern Illinois Salukis suspended three players, including two starters, for three games on Friday for violating team and university conduct codes. Mykel Cleveland, Gene Teague and Troy Long combine for about 16 points per game and will shorten the bench for a 10-13 Salukis club. Northern Illinois is currently a six-point favorite over the visiting 7-16 Bradley Braves.

-- Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin officially announced on Friday that center Maurkice Pouncey will not play in Sunday’s Super Bowl game against Green Bay. Pouncey has not practiced since suffering a high left-ankle sprain in the AFC championship game. The rookie Pro Bowler will be substituted by undrafted free agent Dan Legursky, who started four games at guard this season but will be making his first NFL start as a center. Pittsburgh also announced that defensive end Aaron Smith will not play; he has been out since Week 8 with a torn triceps muscle.

-- Anaheim Ducks goaltender Jonas Hiller was ruled out of Saturday's game against Colorado due to fatigue and light-headedness. The 28-year-old netminder was named to his first All-Star team this season, sporting a 25-16-3 record, with a 2.56 goals-against average, .925 save percentage and four shutouts through 47 games. Backup Curtis McElhinney, with a 3.03 GAA and .909 save percentage, will get the start.

Washington State vs. Oregon State
Play: Washington State -3

WSU is a respectable 15-7 on the season. However, the Cougars are sitting at 5th in the PAC 10 at 5-5 in Conference play. The team comes off of a humiliating 69-43 defeat against rival Oregon, a game in which Washington State was a 2 ½ point favorite. They must win this matchup in order to make up some ground in the Conference. The tandem of Guards, Klay Thompson and Faisal Aden are combining for 35.7 PPG. 6’8’’ 255 lb. Forward, DeAngelo Castro is a true force in the paint and will out-muscle counterpart Joe Burton. The Cougars spanked the Beavers in their only meeting TY, 84-70. In that victory, WSU shot 50.9% from the field, holding OSU to a mere 33.8% shooting. Prior to their 68-56 outright win over Washington in their last game, Oregon State dropped 6 of their L7 both SU and ATS. Jared Cunningham is leading the Beavers with 13.9 PPG. The Guard has given opponents problems this season. But his supporting cast just doesn’t have the talent to compete in this one. The ATS numbers slightly favor Oregon State, but they are due for a let down after besting Washington outright as a 13 point ‘dog. The opposite goes for Washington State. They will come back strong after their dreadful loss to Oregon as a 2 ½ point favorite. The Cougars get the win and the cover.
